Naija news update
Post-Nieria.com examine the sudden return of the chibok girls within a year of the current administration.
Reports:
As the sudden return of 2 out of the 219 abducted Chibok Girls in April 2014, hits the news-stands, barely few days to the one year anniversary of the President Muhammadu Buhari administration, a cross section of Nigerians have alleged that the presidency might be acting a script.

Erstwhile President, Olusegun Obasanjo, last February, while speaking at an event organised by the Staff Club of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, had affirmed that anyone saying the girls would return was simply lying.

“Anyone saying the Chibok girls will return is telling lies, maybe some of them will return to tell their story,” he said.

Recall, that Miss Luka Serah, was allegedly rescued from the Boko Haram captivity on Thursday night.

This comes two days after the rescue of Miss Amina Ali Nkeki, by members of a vigilante group.

In a statement by the Army spokesman, Col Usman, he said: “We are glad to state that among those rescued is a girl believed to be one of the Chibok Government (Girls) Secondary School girls, that were abducted on 14th April, 2014 by the Boko Haram terrorists.”

“Her name is Miss Serah Luka, who is number 157 on the list of the abducted school girls. She is believed to be the daughter of Pastor Luka.”

However, a spokesman for the Chibok girls’ parents has cast doubt on the claims, saying that the girl’s name is not on the families’ list of those missing.

Earlier on Thursday, the first Chibok girl found, was flown to the federal capital, Abuja, to meet with Buhari.

The president said he was delighted she was back and could resume her education.

“But my feelings are tinged with deep sadness at the horrors the young girl has had to go through at such an early stage in her life,” the President added.

Ms Nkeki and her four-month-old baby were found by an army-backed vigilante group in the huge Sambisa Forest, close to the border with Cameroon.

She was with a suspected member of the Boko Haram Islamist group, who claimed to be her husband.

A quick check by Post-Nigeria on the list of the abducted girls, shows that number 157 on the list made available by the #BringBackOurGirls campaign group is not Serah Luka, but Ruth Lawan.

In reaction, cross sections of Nigerians have faulted the claims by the military that the girls were the long sought after Chibok girls.

One Moses Okoronkwo said: “The most pathetic aspect of this APC propaganda is that, the names of the abducted girls are not in tantamount with the names released in 2014, from Chibok federal government college.
